Playing with my fuse explores themes of entry, exit, and interconnection—rendering the tension between linear progression and the cyclical patterns of human behavior. The form suggests both a ladder and a conduit, evoking the paradox of ascent that also requires revisiting earlier stages. As viewers trace its rhythm of bends, breaches, and recombined segments, the work offers a physical metaphor for the nonlinear paths of understanding and growth. Constructed using coil-building techniques and finished with colored slip, glaze, and paint, the sculpture underscores the layered, tactile nature of its subject matter—where resolution is never fixed, but continually re-encountered.
