Leigh Suggs (b. 1981, Boone, NC) is a Richmond-based artist whose practice examines the tension between concealment and revelation, structure and fluidity. Rooted in the visual language of craft, her intricate, hand-cut works transcend traditional boundaries, transforming grids and patterns into dynamic meditations on perception and form. Suggs’ process-intensive works are included in the collections of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Weatherspoon Art Museum, and major corporate collections. She earned her MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2015.
