Twelve Etchings presents a new body of prints by London-based artist William Wright and marks the first exhibition devoted exclusively to his printmaking. Made in his studio between 2025 and 2026, the works depict objects drawn from the familiar surroundings of home, garden, and studio: a telephone, hanging pans, paint tubes, laundry, fruit, and bottles.

Working directly onto the plate, Wright reduces these ordinary subjects to economical arrangements of line and tone. What begins in close observation gradually gives way to memory, association, and invention, allowing familiar objects to acquire an unexpected psychological presence. Intimate, atmospheric, and quietly strange, the etchings reveal printmaking as a distinct and assured dimension of Wright’s wider practice.
