Main Projects is proud to present Elise Ferguson: F.L.W. Marin, an exhibition of 18 unique monoprints inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s Marin Civic Center in San Rafael, California. Translating the building’s repeating arches, circular forms, and rhythmic geometry into a new relief-based process, Ferguson combines screen-printed color, pigmented plaster, and debossed impressions on thick watercolor paper.
The series marks the first time Ferguson has incorporated debossing into her work, using pressure as a form of drawing to create recessed grooves and subtle shifts in depth. Each monoprint balances geometric precision with material variation, extending Ferguson’s ongoing exploration of the space between painting, sculpture, printmaking, and architecture.
