In Untitled, Chiffon Thomas assembles a hybrid form that hovers between body and architecture. Cast in bronze and inlaid with fractured stained glass, the sculpture suggests a corseted torso—contained yet straining against its seams. Two ears meet at the center, an uncanny pairing that feels almost like a split head or a doubled consciousness. The surface, stitched and soldered like a site of healing, evokes both protection and fracture. Thomas’s work often examines how the body holds memory and identity through acts of construction and repair. Here, the figure seems to listen inward as much as outward, turning the body itself into an instrument of perception. In the context of Dalí’s dreamlike anatomy, Thomas’s reassembled form becomes a contemporary echo—less about surreal fantasy than the lived, layered reality of rebuilding the self.
