In Going Home, a suspended cactus pierced with copper nails slowly rises as it desiccates, while a mannequin arm weighted by a ghostly, light-starved succulent descends—together forming a living scale. Williams blends organic and industrial elements to choreograph a slow, ritual transformation where decomposition and ascent coexist. Inspired by Alice Coltrane’s gospel-rooted composition, the work becomes a durational meditation on surrender, metamorphosis, and returning to one’s essential self through cycles of release and renewal.
