Meghann Stephenson (b. 1990, Virginia) is a Los Angeles-based painter whose work explores the subtleties of human relationships, emotions, and self-perception. Her visually arresting oil-on-canvas works combine historical influences with a contemporary narrative, often featuring symbolic objects and intimate gestures set against spare, dark backgrounds. A graduate of Parsons School of Design (BFA, 2013), Stephenson has exhibited in solo and group shows internationally, including Swan Dive at Half Gallery in New York and Main Character at Woaw Gallery in Hong Kong. Her work has been featured in Artnet, Artmaze Mag and graced the cover of American Chordata.
